As 2017 comes to a close, this will be our final edition of “Skim” for the year. Thanks to you, this year marks our 98th year serving our neighbors and schools while employing 150 hard working men and women throughout the Puget Sound region.
I continue to be impressed and humbled with your generosity and want to share what we have accomplished together to support our local community:
• We raised $8,500 for Seattle Cancer Care Alliance for breast cancer research through our Strawberry Milk “Drink Pink” and “Think Pink” Pink-a-licious Cookie campaigns.
• In September, you donated 10,476 pounds of food and $1,855 in monetary donations to Northwest Harvest Food Bank to feed hungry families in Washington state.
• In December we’ll once again launch the Eggnog Nation campaign donating a quart of milk to Food Lifeline for every quart of eggnog we sell. Last year, in partnership with Dairy Farmers of Washington we donated 8,064 quarts. This year we hope to donate even more.
With the endless number of grocery, food and home delivery options available, I truly appreciate that over 50,000 families continue to trust Smith Brothers Farms to support their aspirations to lead happy and healthy lives by providing high quality food.
Thank you for your loyalty and trust in us, it's something we strive to maintain on a daily basis. I’d like to close by sharing a few lines of our Milkman Creed; “I delivered to your grandparents, and I’ll deliver to your kids. I am part of your family, and you are part of mine. I am your Milkman.”
