Patty Pan Green Chile & Cheese Tamales feature heirloom white corn masa imported by Masienda, a company that works with smallholder subsistence farmers in Oaxaca, Mexico. Fillings are made from scratch using plenty of local and organic ingredients. Just steam and eat!
Cooking Tip: Don’t have a steamer and don’t like microwaving? No problem! Leave the husks on and you can heat tamales on a grill, or put them on the barbecue over a low flame for a nice smoky flavor. Remove the husks and you can fry them in a pan with little oil or butter, or you can deep fry them for a wonderfully crunchy result.
Note: The tamales are naturally gluten-free, but they are made in a facility that also processes wheat.
