Tortilla chips have an interesting origin story. A husband and wife in Los Angeles wanted a way to make use of misshapen tortillas that were rejected by the tortilla manufacturing machine. They took the discarded tortillas, cut them into triangles, fried them, and voila! The tortilla chip was born. (Lucky us!)
