Unbeatable Buttermilk Ranch Dressing

Whether it's your go-to salad dressing or favorite dipping sauce, buttermilk ranch dressing is undeniably an all-American classic. Homemade buttermilk ranch is easy to whip up, and leaves out the additives and fillers you find in many bottled dressings. We put together this version using Smith Brothers buttermilk—which is cultured in small batches for 14 hours—to bring extra depth and flavor to the recipe. Try it and see what a difference it makes!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup Smith Brothers sour cream
- 1/2 cup Smith Brothers cultured buttermilk
- 1-1.5 Tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped fine
- 1-2 Tablespoons fresh dill weed, chopped fine
- 1-1.5 Tablespoons onion powder
- 1-2 Tablespoons garlic powder.
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice or white vinegar
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Whisk mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk together with 1 Tablespoon of each of the seasonings until smooth.
- Taste and adjust by adding more of any seasonings you like.
- Whisk in the lemon juice or vinegar a little at a time, tasting as you go until it's as tangy as you like.
- Finish with a dash of salt and pepper.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors time to mix together.
Note: 1-2 teaspoons of dried herbs can be substituted for 1-2 Tablespoons of fresh.
