Celebrate Burger Week: 7 Days of Epic Buns & Bold Flavors
National Hamburger Day falls on May 28, but we believe one day just isn’t enough to celebrate such a mighty food icon. So we're serving up seven days of burger greatness, with a new mouthwatering creation each day of the week. Whether you're firing up the grill or heating up the stovetop, these recipes are guaranteed to bring serious flavor and plenty of fun to your table.

Monday: Juicy Lucy Burger
Makes 2 burgers
Stuffed with melted cheese for a gooey surprise in every bite.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 slices American cheese, folded into a small square, or 2 Babybel cheese rounds
- 2 Burger buns
- Optional: pickles, ketchup, mustard
Instructions:
- Divide beef into 4 equal portions and form into thin patties.
- Place one piece of cheese in the center of two of the patties.
- Top with another patty and seal the edges tightly.
- Season both sides of your stuffed burger with salt and pepper.
- Grill or pan-fry over medium heat, 4–5 minutes per side until cooked through.
- Let rest 1–2 minutes, then serve on buns with your favorite toppings.
Tuesday: Cowboy Burger
Makes 4 burgers
Stacked with crispy onion rings, smoky pulled pork, and BBQ sauce.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup pulled pork in barbecue sauce
- 4 onion rings (cooked)
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 Burger buns
Instructions:
- Form and cook four burger patties to desired doneness.
- Top with cheddar and allow to melt.
- Toast buns and layer with burger, warmed pulled pork, additional sauce from the pork, and onion rings.
Wednesday: Swiss Mushroom Burger
Makes 4 burgers
Savory mushrooms and melted Swiss make this a comfort food classic.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 Tbsp butter
- Burger buns
- Optional: mayo or garlic aioli
Instructions:
- Sauté mushrooms in butter until golden and tender; season with salt and pepper.
- Grill or pan-fry four patties, then top with Swiss cheese and mushrooms.
- Serve on buns with mayo or garlic aioli.
Thursday: Black & Blue Burger
Makes 4 burgers
A flavor punch with blue cheese, crispy bacon, and a peppery crust.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- Cracked black peppercorns
- 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles
- 4 strips bacon, cooked
- Burger buns
Instructions:
- Form patties and press cracked pepper into each side.
- Grill or pan-fry four burger patties to desired doneness.
- Top with blue cheese and bacon; serve on buns with arugula or red onion.
Friday: Peanut Butter Burger
Makes 4 burgers
Don’t knock it till you try it—savory, sweet, and completely addictive.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- Creamy peanut butter
- Bacon (optional)
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- Burger buns
Instructions:
- Form and cook four burger patties as usual.
- Spread a thin layer of peanut butter on the top bun (while warm).
- Assemble with cheddar and bacon for extra indulgence.
Saturday: Berry Burger
Makes 4 burgers
Sweet meets savory with a tangy berry compote and creamy cheese.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup fresh berries, hulled and sliced (if needed)
- 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- Goat cheese or brie
- Burger buns
Instructions:
- Simmer berries with honey and balsamic until thickened into a compote.
- Form and cook four burger patties to desired doneness.
- Top grilled patties with goat cheese or brie.
- Spread berry compote on the bun and assemble.
Sunday: Taco Burger Mashup
Makes 4 burgers
Burgers and tacos: two smashingly good foods, brought together in delicious harmony.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- Taco seasoning mix (or mix together 1 Tbsp ground red chile or paprika, 1 tsp cumin, 1 Tbsp garlic powder, 2 tsp onion powder and 1/4 tsp cayenne)
- 4 Tbsp Guacamole or 1 sliced avocado
- 4 Tbsp crumbled Queso fresco or 4 slices Pepper Jack cheese
- Crushed tortilla chips (this is a great use for those end-of-bag crumbs!)
- 4 tsp. Salsa
- Burger buns
Instructions:
- Mix 2 Tbsp of taco seasoning into the ground beef.
- Form and cook four burger patties to desired doneness.
- Top with cheese and allow to melt.
- Place burger on bun.
- Top with guacamole or avocado, crushed tortilla chips, and salsa.
- Finish with top buns and serve.
